Description: Voltorb has possibly the most important niche in the RBY LC metagame, and that is making sure that everything else gets set up properly. Voltorb has a barren offensive movepool, so any attacking sets would be nigh impossible to use effectively.

- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Explosion
Set Explanation: Set up screens, paralyze whatever you can, then blow up when it's about to die. Voltorb's insane speed should allow it to outspeed most of its counters, although Diglett will give it a really hard time even with Reflect up.
Counters: Diglett, Rhyhorn, Geodude. These three can get Voltorb hell. Diglett is the easiest to deal with due to the fact that it doesn't have a Rock typing and can be killed by Explosion.
