Description: The only other sole RBY Ubers Pokemon alongside Mewtwo. Mew has a movepool that literally consists of almost every move in the game. Almost... Every... Move... This means an incredible amount of possibilities and an incredible amount of moves. Let's take a look at some.

Set #1: Special Sweeper

- Softboiled
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

Set Explanation: Just fire off attacks and use Softboiled when you need health. Psychic will be your main attack most of the time. Ice Beam on Exeggutor or if you're forced against a Mewtwo. Thunderbolt against anything that it's super effective against.

Set #2: Swords Dance

- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Hyper Beam / Body Slam / Explosion

Set Explanation: Swords Dance then sweep, Earthquake and Rock Slide form the potent Edge-quake combo. Last move could either be the potent Hyper Beam for a hefty chance against Mewtwo, Body Slam for paralysis or Explosion to go out with a bang when Mew is almost done.

Counters: Mewtwo can effectively maim anything Mew can throw at it unless its weakened and Chansey can handle the special sets without any trouble. Just paralyze Mew and you should be good.

Of course man. Mewtwo in RBY is literally the strongest Pokemon that has ever been in competitive play.

Not true. Giratina can destroy it in 1 hit

Also in Gen 1, Alakazam could kill it easily because of the superior speed and ridiculous special attack it had

Mewtwo has higher speed and special (there was just special, no special attack) than Alakazam, and RBY Mewtwo could just use Amnesia in Giritina's face and OHKO it with Psychic

1/Alakazam's mid-max speed stat is far higher than Mewtwo's if you actually EV train.
2/Alakazam can easily beat Mewtwo as I've seen done hundreds of times



1/Psychic wouldnt OHKO Giratina after Amnesia
2/Giratina + Shadow Force = Dead Mewtwo
