Description: Pikachu has everything it needs to succeed in the meta-game. It has access to some great moves, an item that doubles its special attack, and base 90 speed, which is great in GSC, and even greater in GSC UU. Please note though, Pikachu CANNOT take a hit. So prediction is needed. But you will rarely be disappointed.
Set #1: Light Ball Powerhouse

- Sing / Thunder Wave / Agility

- Hidden Power Fire / Hidden Power Ice
Set Explanation: Simple, wreck anything that comes at you. Surf any rock / ground / fire types that come to ruin your day. Thunderbolt any water / flying types, and fry and grass / bug / steel / ice types that join the party. Anything you can't kill such as Chansey or Blissey, just cripple it either with sleep or paralysis (Sing or Thunder Wave). Alternatively you could run Agility and attempt to set up on a Pokemon you know can't kill Pikachu, then proceed to pull off a sweep. If you have a problem with Dragon type, run Hidden Power Ice instead of Hidden Power Fire although if you do, Scizor and Forretress will wall you cold.
Counters:
Anything with speed higher than 90. Priority moves are the bane of Pikachu. Chansey and Blissey both wall Pikachu cold. Tyranitar can live through Surf and OHKO with his STAB attacks. Dragon type Pokemon will massacre any sets not running Hidden Power Ice. Forretress and Scizor will crush any sets not running Hidden Power Fire.
